October 7 Lilian Vieira will play at the opening of the new exhibition of the Tropenmuseum: MixMax Brasil. MixMax Brasil is about the North East (culture) of Brasil. You can see, feel en join the Brazilian vibe. At the opening weekend on 6 & 7 October there will be al lot to do: you can follow a Capoeira workshop or dance the Frevo. And of course you can listen to Lilian Vieira’s Brazilian music. She will play between 13.30 and 15.00.

Pianist Gideon van Gelder and Lilian Vieira will perform together in the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam. At this one-off night, Lilian and Gideon will give their own twist to the music of the famous guitar player Toninho Horta.

On the 19th of August the beautiful Dias Latinos Festival will be organized in the city centre of Amersfoort. Lilian Vieira and her band will play on this year’s edition of the festival.

At this years’ North Sea Jazz Festival, the Dutch Metropole Orchestra conducted by Vince Mendoza will play with NSJ ‘artist in residence’ Joshua Redman. Lilian Vieira will feature as well a few songs.
Redman wants to explore the repertoire by Stan Getz; both his traditional jazz and his bossa nova. The Brazilian music will be further explored in contributions by singers Luciana Souza and Lilian Vieira.

Friday evening, June 22 Lilian Vieira and her band are going to perform on the world music festival ‘Kraina Mriy’ in the Ukraine. The festival is located at the riverbanks of the river Dnipro in the capital of Ukraine, Kiev.
